The Bulgarian Donors’ Forum (BDF) has been bringing together, representing, and supporting major donors in Bulgaria – companies and foundations – since 2004. The Forum currently comprises 55 members, including 22 foundations, 22 companies, and 11 observer organizations.

The mission of the Bulgarian Donors’ Forum is to foster a positive public attitude towards philanthropy and to promote the development of charitable giving in Bulgaria. BDF works to improve the environment for philanthropy, while providing a platform for dialogue, cooperation, and the exchange of knowledge and donor policies among its members.

In 2018, the members of the Bulgarian Donors’ Forum adopted a set of Standards for Donor Practices, aimed at promoting transparency, accountability, and effectiveness in philanthropic giving.
